Someone once asked me "When are you finished with list building?". The answer to this is simple - NEVER!. Building a personal mailing list must be your first priority if you are ever to succeed. Granted, there are other things that are very important, but they all begin with building your list!

It is crucial to have a consistent flow of subscribers month after month. When you have a list, you have prospects to market to every single time you have a product launch or affiliate products to sell. In fact, studies have shown that, each subscriber that you receive equates to $1 per month for your business.

This month I will show you a few different ways to build your list on a continual basis.

Create A Report or Article for Your Subscribers.

This is a great technique to use to build a relationship with your readers. The object here is to build trust. Make your report unique. If you create a report that is only available from you then you have created something of value. There are a lot of scams and rip-offs on the internet and giving reports or articles of real value will go a long way toward building trust with your subscribers. If they don't trust you then they are unlikely to buy from you. The best way to distribute your reports is in PDF format. It will be perceived as being of more value by your readers.

Write and Submit Articles to Article Directories.

I have written hundreds of articles since 2000. Every time I submit an article to article directories I receive NEW subscribers. It may be only a few dozen, or it may be a few hundred, the point is that my list continues to grow!

Ask Your Subscribers to Tell a Friend!

When people like what you are doing, and respect your opinion and information, they are likely to tell their friends. Make it easy for them to do so! Allow your articles and newsletters to be forwarded to non-subscribers. Provide a "Tell A Friend" utility on your website. ASK them to tell their friends! If they have found their relationship with you, as your subscriber, to be of benefit then they are likely to do so and your list will grow! Think about this: If you have a list of only 100 subscribers, and each of them tells only 3 friends who subscribe, and each of those people tell only 3 people who subscribe, your list is now 900 subscribers! I'm sure you can see the benefit.

There you have just a few ways to help with list building. There are as many ways as there are ideas and some work better than others. Don't get bogged down by focusing on any one method until it has been proven to produce superior results for you.
